The Ides of March is the 74th day of the Roman calendar, which corresponds to March 15. It was a day of religious observances and a deadline for settling debts…hmm, sounds a LOT like OPEX to me!! Friday is going to be one wild ride, due to quad witching OPEX as well as FOMC coming next week. The Ides of March is not just about settling debts, however.

The Ides of March is also associated with misfortune and doom. It gained notoriety as the day that Roman dictator Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC.
