Welcome to December, the Year’s Grand Finale

Ah, December. The month where the days are shorter, the nights colder, and the bank accounts thinner—classic holiday vibes.

It’s the time of year when we hang stockings by the chimney with care, hoping Santa will drop something more useful than socks or scented candles. Maybe some cash, Santa? A stock tip? A miraculous solution to inflation? No? Cool, thanks anyway.

As we start the last month of they year I am wondering if this is the year the market decides to play nice (aka “Santa Rally”) —or if we’re just getting coal in our trading accounts. Either way, welcome to the last lap. Let’s finish strong. Don’t oversize into the end of the year. Trade the charts as always.

We do have a decent slate of earnings this week and the economic data calendar is packed to the brim. Daddy Powell highlights the “most anticipated” show on the slate this week. He speaks Wednesday afternoon. As always, check the earnings and data info at the end.
